Rev. Fr. John Inalegwu Otache, the Catholic priest kidnapped in Benue State, has reportedly regained his freedom following a rescue operation involving safety operatives and native vigilantes.
Otache, the Parish Priest of St. Margaret’s Parish, Ajegbe-Awume, in Ohimini Native Govt Space, was once abducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, alongside the Otobi Amejo-Ajegbe Highway whilst returning house from Otukpo.
His abduction induced nervousness amongst participants of the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo and citizens of neighbouring communities, prompting prayers and appeals for his protected unlock.
Alternatively, main points of the operation stay sketchy, because the cases surrounding his rescue and his present well being situation haven’t begun to be showed.
