The Nationwide Automative Design and Building Council (NADDC) has said that it has concluded modalities to enforce the ‘Nigeria First Coverage,’ which was once signed by means of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The Director-Common of the NADDC, Joseph Osanipin stated this in Abuja on Friday at a joint press convention with the Bureau of Public Procurement at the implementation of Nigeria First Coverage, noting that for many years, Nigeria has remained a significant client of foreign-assembled automobile merchandise, which has strained foreign currencies reserves, exported native jobs and suppressed the expansion of home production.
“We’re basically transferring the Nigeria First Coverage. All automobiles procured by means of ministries, departments and companies, together with mission software automobiles, will have to be sourced completely from authorized native assemblers or their authorized outlets.
