Data notes. The 30-day figure is shown on CoinGecko as 8.6%. The direction is inferred from reports that PI traded near $0.089 in late September, so confirm it on the live chart. Price and supply figures come from different providers and moments, so small mismatches are normal.
What each number tells you, and what it does not
Price is the latest traded level, not a guaranteed selling price. Percentage changes show direction over a window but say nothing about why. Market capitalization and supply describe size and availability, not cash held by anyone. Volume measures activity, and for PI it is low relative to size. The price, volume and change figures are near-live and refresh every few minutes. Supply, total supply and all-time records update less often, and unlock-based supply changes appear with a lag.
What Is Pi Network and What Is the PI Coin?
Pi Network is a mobile-first crypto project launched on 14 March 2019 by Stanford-trained founders Nicolas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan. Its stated goal is to let ordinary people earn a digital token through a phone app and later use it in apps and local commerce. PI is the network’s native token. It was designed to reward participation rather than to be bought in a public sale, and no outside institutional investors are named in the project documentation summarised by CoinGecko.
How participation and “mining” work
Pi’s “mining” differs from conventional proof-of-work mining. Users confirm daily through an app instead of running energy-hungry computers. Security is described as resting on a trust graph of “security circles” and on nodes running a protocol derived from the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), which uses a federated agreement model. These are project descriptions. Independent verification of the network’s decentralisation is limited, so readers should treat claims about its security model as the team’s account, not settled fact.
Participation versus freely tradable PI
Holding a balance in the app is not the same as owning market-traded PI. A user must pass identity verification (KYC) and then migrate eligible balances to the Mainnet wallet before tokens can move outside the app. Project reporting has cited 60 million-plus claimed users, but far fewer verified identities: more than 18 million by June 2026, and 16,568,774 completed Mainnet migrations at a 5 March 2026 snapshot, according to a CoinDCX summary of Pi updates. Many tokens are also locked, which matters for supply (see below).
Current ecosystem status
The Open Network phase began on 20 February 2025, allowing external connections and exchange integrations. Since then the core team has shipped a run of protocol upgrades in 2026, culminating in Protocol 28, which was reported active on the Mainnet on 17 October 2026. Pi has also reported more than 300 Mainnet apps. App counts are not the same as active, paying users, and the team has published no verified usage figures for the latest upgrade.
Understanding the Current Market Value of Pi Network
A market price is simply the most recent level at which a buyer and seller agreed. On an exchange, buyers post bids (the most they will pay) and sellers post asks (the least they will accept) in an order book. A market order buys or sells immediately at the best available prices. A limit order waits until the market reaches a chosen price. PI mostly trades against USDT, a dollar-linked stablecoin, so each venue’s pair, such as PI/USDT, produces its own quote.
A simple numerical example
Imagine a hypothetical order book where the best bid is $0.0790 and the best ask is $0.0792, a spread of 0.25%. A buyer places a market order for 1,000,000 PI. The book holds 400,000 PI for sale at $0.0792, 300,000 at $0.0795 and 300,000 at $0.0800. The buyer pays (400,000 × 0.0792) + (300,000 × 0.0795) + (300,000 × 0.0800) = $79,530, an average of $0.07953. That is about 0.42% above the quoted $0.0792, a gap called slippage. If sellers retreat and buyers keep coming, the whole book shifts upward. If buyers retreat, it shifts down.
Real depth is thin. CoinGecko’s venue table showed about $127,600 of sell orders within 2% above the price on OKX and about $65,000 on Bitget. A displayed price therefore does not mean every holder can sell any quantity at that level.
Pi Network Price Performance Over 24 Hours, Seven Days and 30 Days
24 hours: rebound within a narrow range
PI gained about 2.6% on CoinGecko and 3.48% on OKX, moving within a $0.07680–$0.07951 band. The two figures differ because providers use different windows and sources. A move of this size is ordinary for PI and does not by itself signal a trend.
Seven days: roughly flat, with a wide swing
Over seven days PI slipped about 0.8%, yet traded between $0.07498 and $0.08178, a spread of about 9% from low to high. That pattern is consolidation with volatility, not steady direction. Around 13 October, PI traded just above its all-time low, according to CryptoPotato via KuCoin. On 16 October it climbed about 4.6% to $0.0805 after the summit announcement and ahead of the Protocol 28 switch, per CoinGape. The gain then faded. The timing is suggestive, but no source demonstrates that the news caused the move.
30 days: a downtrend
The 30-day change is about −8.6%. Late September prices near $0.089, reported by crypto.news, compare with about $0.079 now. One-year performance is deeper: CoinGecko lists a 61.2% drop, consistent with PI near $0.20 a year earlier. A short bounce does not mean lasting strength, and a decline does not mean the project has failed. Price tracks supply, demand and liquidity, not only technical progress.
Pi Network Price History and All-Time High
PI reached its record around 26 February 2025, days after the Open Network launch, at about $2.99 on CoinGecko ($2.98 on CoinCodex; the difference reflects data sources). Its decline since has been steep and punctuated by new lows:
- Early October 2025: lows near $0.17, according to CryptoPotato’s 2025 review.
- 11 February 2026: a low of roughly $0.131.
- 13 July 2026: about $0.086.
- 14 July 2026: the current record low of $0.07059, a 14% one-day drop on reports of heavy token unlocks and thin demand.
Calculation. Decline from the all-time high = (2.99 − 0.07938) ÷ 2.99 = 97.3%. Distance above the all-time low = (0.07938 − 0.07059) ÷ 0.07059 = 12.4%. These match CoinGecko’s figures.
Comparisons across venues are imperfect. Early trading mixed IOU tokens, which are exchange promises of future PI, with native PI, and some venues report different extremes. CoinGecko and CoinCodex record slightly different highs and lows for the same asset. History cannot tell investors where the price will go next.
Pi Network Market Capitalization and Trading Volume
Market capitalization = current market price × circulating supply.
Worked example (CoinGecko figures, 21 October 2026): $0.07938 × 11,275,000,000 PI ≈ $895.0 million, matching CoinGecko’s reported $894.98 million.
That number is not cash held by Pi, not the total invested by holders, and not what holders could collect by selling. If many holders sold at once, the price would fall long before the full valuation was realised.
Reading trading volume
The 24-hour volume of about $3.39 million is the dollar value traded across tracked venues in a day. It equals roughly 0.38% of market cap, a low turnover for an asset of this size. Higher volume can mean more interest and easier trading, but it does not prove a trend will continue. Volume can also be inflated by wash trading or incentives, and providers disagree: OKX reported about $3.53 million for its own page while CoinGecko’s aggregate was $3.39 million. A separate CoinGecko metric shows perpetual-futures volume about 35 times spot volume, with $18.26 million in open interest, which suggests leveraged derivative trading may influence price more than spot buying. With thin order books, a single large order can move the price sharply.
PI Token Supply, Circulating Supply and Token Unlocks
- Maximum supply is the cap: 100 billion PI.
- Total supply is what exists now: about 17.35 billion.
- Circulating supply is what is considered available to trade: about 11.28 billion.
- Locked tokens cannot yet move. Unlocked tokens can, once claimed.
- Migrated tokens have moved from the app to the Mainnet wallet. Migrated is not the same as sellable, since some balances remain locked.
The gap between total and circulating supply is about 6.07 billion PI, similar to the roughly 6.2 billion “total locked” figure PiScan reported in June 2026. PiScan tracks claimable balances, either user-locked or distributed by the core team, and it cannot track tokens not yet in claimable balances.
Scheduled unlocks
PiScan data reported by Coinpedia and CoinMarketCap AI points to nearly 775.8 million PI unlocking by the end of 2026, about 6.9% of current circulating supply and worth roughly $61.6 million at today’s price. Pi’s own detailed schedule is not published in a form this report could verify, so treat that figure as third-party data from a tracking site.
If demand does not grow with supply, extra tokens can weigh on price. Unlock does not equal sale. Some holders keep tokens, use them in apps or relock them. Also, the FDV figure needs care: CoinGecko’s $1.377 billion equals price × total supply (17.35 billion), not the 100 billion maximum. On the cap, the theoretical figure would be about $7.9 billion. Neither is the value of what trades today.
What Factors Are Influencing the Current PI Price?
Supply and demand, and liquidity
This is the best-evidenced driver. Analysts cited by CryptoPotato in July linked the price slide to unlocks arriving while buying demand stayed weak. Those are opinions; the unlock data are facts, and the causal link is plausible but unproven.
Listings, transferability and trading restrictions
PI trades mainly on mid-tier exchanges. Binance and Coinbase do not list it, according to Coin Bureau, which limits access and liquidity. Withdrawals and deposits vary by venue.
Ecosystem adoption and utility
Protocol upgrades and app counts are confirmed developments, but the price barely reacted to them. Utility-driven demand remains the central unresolved question.
Broader market and macro
CoinGecko showed total crypto market value of $2.87 trillion on 21 October, Bitcoin dominance of 58% and a neutral Fear & Greed reading of 48. PI’s seven-day move of −0.8% was slightly better than the whole market’s −1.1% on CoinGecko. Macro news also matters: September US consumer inflation came in at 3.7% year on year, with markets debating a Federal Reserve hike at the 27–28 October meeting. No direct link to PI is demonstrated.
Regulation, confidence and perception
KYB (Know Your Business) requirements and regional restrictions shape where PI can list. Sentiment is polarised: CoinGecko’s community poll showed 77% bullish, yet analysts criticise limited real-world use. Neither is proof of value.
Latest Pi Network News and Developments Affecting the Market
- Protocol 28 live (17 October 2026). Scheduled for 16 October, it was reported active on 17 October by Coingabbar, which read the Mainnet Horizon endpoint (core version 28.0.1, ledger 29,255,516). The upgrade handles delayed transaction data and adds batch updates for smart contracts. It matters for developers. No direct price impact is evidenced.
- First Pi Ecosystem Summit announced (15 October). Per FXStreet, the three-day online event runs 17–19 November, with developer demos and a new hackathon. PI rose about 4% the next day, but no causal proof exists.
- Open Standard (OUSD) stablecoin partnership (around 8 October). Pi’s official post says it will explore Pioneer reward programmes with Open Standard, which runs the OUSD stablecoin, and that implementation is still at the principles stage. Read the Daily Talk republication of the post for context. Coverage notes no launch date or reward terms have been given.
- Protocol 27 completed (reported 26 September). Analytics Insight reported it was done before Protocol 28 went to testnet.
- Reported milestones. Pi reported over 300 Mainnet apps and 60 million-plus Pioneers in mid-October, as CoinGecko’s news feed summarises. These are self-reported and the “Pioneers” figure counts claimed accounts.
No unrelated “catalyst” is claimed here. Where the team has not published terms, none are assumed.
Where Can PI Be Traded and How Should Readers Verify a Market Price?
CoinGecko’s highest-volume PI/USDT markets include OKX (about $1.29 million of 24-hour volume), Gate, CoinW, Bitget and LBank. An independent audit published in July 2026 checked exchange APIs and found five venues with working two-way native Pi deposits and withdrawals: Kraken, OKX, Bitget, Gate and LBank. It also found venues carrying IOU markets and one large venue, BitMart, where deposits were disabled and which is winding down. Those results are dated 27 July, so they may have changed. Pi’s KYB list as of April 2026, cited by Coin Bureau, included Kraken, OKX, Bitget, Gate.com and others. This is not a recommendation to use any platform.
Before moving assets, check each of these on the exchange’s own pages:
- Whether the listing is native PI or an IOU. Pages such as Bybit’s “Pi Network [IOU]” show the distinction.
- Whether deposits and withdrawals are enabled, not just trading.
- The exact trading pair (PI/USDT, PI/USD and so on).
- The live best bid, best ask and spread.
- Trading and withdrawal fees and minimums.
- Whether your country and account type are eligible.
Test with a small transfer, and read the platform’s current documentation first. A displayed pair alone does not prove the token is transferable through Pi Network.
Important Cryptocurrency Terms Every PI Reader Should Understand
Terms below are general crypto concepts unless marked “PI-specific.”
- Cryptocurrency: Digital money secured by cryptography and recorded on a shared ledger.
- Blockchain: A ledger of transactions grouped into linked blocks that many computers keep in sync.
- Token: A digital asset on a blockchain; PI is the native coin of Pi’s chain.
- Mainnet / Testnet: The live network where real value moves, versus a practice network for testing. Pi runs both.
- Consensus mechanism: The rules by which a network agrees on which transactions are valid.
- Decentralization: Control spread across many independent participants instead of one party.
- Proof of work / Proof of stake: Two ways to secure a chain: by computing power, or by staking coins. Pi uses neither as commonly defined.
- Stellar Consensus Protocol (PI-specific): The agreement protocol Pi’s software derives from, based on trusted groups of nodes.
- Mobile mining (PI-specific): Pi’s app-based daily participation, not computing-based mining.
- KYC (Know Your Customer): Identity checks required before PI can be migrated or often traded.
- Token migration (PI-specific): Moving verified balances from the app to a Mainnet wallet
- Wallet / Custodial / Non-custodial: Software that holds keys. Custodial wallets are run by a third party; non-custodial ones leave you in control.
- Private key / Seed phrase: The secret that proves ownership. Anyone who has your seed phrase can take your funds. Never share it.
- Public address: The shareable wallet identifier for receiving funds.
- Exchange / Trading pair: A marketplace for trading assets; a pair such as PI/USDT shows what is priced in what.
- Fiat currency: Government money such as the naira or the dollar.
- Liquidity: How easily an asset can be bought or sold without moving its price.
- Volatility: How sharply a price swings; PI’s seven-day range of about 9% is an example.
- Market capitalization / Circulating supply / Total supply / Maximum supply: Price × circulating coins; coins available to trade; coins that exist; the permanent cap.
- Fully diluted valuation (FDV): Price × a larger supply figure, theoretical and not today’s value.
- Trading volume: Value traded in a period, usually 24 hours.
- Bid / Ask / Spread / Slippage: Highest buy offer; lowest sell offer; the gap between them; and the difference between the expected and actual price of a trade.
- Bull market / Bear market: A period of rising prices and optimism, versus falling prices and pessimism.
- Support / Resistance level: Price zones where buyers or sellers have previously stepped in.
- Price correction: A decline after a rise, often 10% or more.
- All-time high / All-time low: The highest and lowest recorded prices.
- Market sentiment: The overall mood of investors.
- Token unlock: The release of locked tokens so they can be moved or sold.
- Smart contract: Code on a blockchain that runs automatically; Pi is adding support for these.
- Utility token: A token meant to be used in an ecosystem, not only held.
- Exchange-traded IOU: An exchange’s claim to deliver PI later. It is not native PI until settled.
Is Pi Network a Good Investment? Risks and Considerations
This section is financial education, not personal advice. Readers should not read it as a suggestion to buy, sell or hold PI, or to invest any amount. Risks include:
- Volatility. PI is down about 61% in a year and 97% from its peak.
- Thin liquidity. Order-book depth is small, so large trades move the price.
- Demand uncertainty. Price needs real buyers, not only app counts.
- Supply. Scheduled unlocks may add selling pressure.
- Exchange and custody risk. Venues can restrict withdrawals or close, as the BitMart wind-down shows.
- Regulatory uncertainty, including exchange listing limits in some regions.
- Scams. Phishing, fake apps and impersonation are common around popular coins.
- Executable price versus displayed price. Slippage and fees reduce what you actually receive.
- Loss. Investors can lose some or all of their money.

Pi Network Price Outlook; USA What Could Happen Next?
No price target or probability is offered here. The scenarios are conditional.
Bullish scenario
Assumptions: usage grows and liquidity improves. Mechanism: more apps needing PI, additional exchange access or a successful summit hackathon could lift demand and confidence. A stablecoin tie-in could help only if it increases demand for PI itself, which Pi says it intends. Uncertainties: no launch dates for stablecoin features, no verified usage data.
Neutral scenario
Assumptions: demand and supply roughly offset. Mechanism: unlocks are absorbed by steady buyers, keeping PI range-bound. Recent trading between roughly $0.075 and $0.082 resembles this. Third-party technical views cited by CoinDCX (16 October, daily chart) place support near $0.074 and resistance near $0.084. A daily RSI of 34.9 reported by Cryptopolitan (20 October) points to weak momentum. Chart indicators are backward-looking and unreliable alone.
Bearish scenario
Assumptions: demand stays weak. Mechanism: unlocks add supply to thin books, a broader crypto downturn or tighter policy lowers risk appetite, or an exchange restricts PI. A break below the July low would mean a new record low. Uncertainties: holders may not sell unlocked tokens, and unlock timing can change.
External forecast sites publish multi-year PI targets, some far above today’s price. These are speculative models, not established facts, and this report does not endorse any of them.
How to Monitor the PI Price Responsibly
- Compare at least two aggregators, such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap, and check the timestamp on each.
- Look at volume and order-book depth, not only price.
- Read Pi’s own announcements at minepi.com/blog and the exchange’s notices before acting on social-media claims.
- Be sceptical of posts promising targets or “guaranteed” listings.
- Never share your private key or seed phrase, and avoid links in unsolicited messages.
- Do not trade frequently, borrow to buy PI or act out of fear of missing out.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pi Network’s Current Value
1. What is the current price of Pi Network today?
About $0.0798 on OKX at 08:48 UTC on 21 October 2026, and about $0.0794 on CoinGecko. Check live pages for the latest.

CoinGecko listed ₦105.61 per PI at $0.07938, implying a rate of about ₦1,330 per dollar. So 1,000 PI is about ₦105,600. This is illustrative; banks and exchanges quote different rates. Check current rates on the Daily Talk Naira Rate Converter or the CBN.
3. Why does the PI price differ across websites?
Providers use different venues, trading pairs, liquidity, methodologies and timing. Some also treat IOU markets differently.
4. Where can I check the most reliable PI price?
Compare CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap and the live order book on a verified exchange. No single site is “official”; Pi’s own site does not publish a market price.
5. What is Pi Network’s current market capitalization?
About $895 million on CoinGecko, from price × 11.275 billion circulating PI.
6. What was PI’s all-time high?
About $2.99 on 26 February 2025 (CoinGecko). CoinCodex lists $2.98.

8. What affects the value of Pi Network?
Supply and unlocks, demand and utility, liquidity, exchange access, general crypto sentiment, regulation and verified project news.
9. Is the PI price the same as the value of PI held in a wallet?
No. The quoted price applies only to PI that is verified, migrated, unlocked and transferable. A balance inside the app that is unmigrated or locked cannot be sold at that price, and large sales would also move the price.
10. Is Pi Network a guaranteed investment?
No. No crypto asset is guaranteed, and PI could lose further value. This report is not investment advice.
