The Akwa Ibom State Police Command says its operatives have raided a legal hideout at Iwuachang village, Ibeno Native Govt House, arrested 5 suspects and recovered illicit medicine together with Indian Hemp, Captain Black, Kolos and Ice.
The arrested suspects come with Enoch Monila, 28, Joseph Dani, 42, Imoh Okon, 21, Pleasure Linus, 25, and Thadeus Damian, 32.
The command’s Public Members of the family Officer, DSP Timfon John, disclosed this in a commentary in Uyo on Friday.
The commentary stated, “The operation, carried out at about 8:00 p.m. on October 22, 2026, adopted credible intelligence gained through the Command and in keeping with the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, at the ongoing marketing campaign towards black spots and illicit drug actions around the State.”
Whilst encouraging the general public to offer credible and well timed knowledge to police, the spokesperson reiterated the commissioner’s stance towards illicit drug trafficking and different actions able to undermining public protection.
